Leader: Our souls await you in silence, O God.

People: Our hope is in you, our rock and salvation.

Leader: Because of you, we shall not be shaken.

Leader: Let us trust in you at all times.

All: Let us pour out our hearts in worship to you, O God.

*Opening Prayer (Unison)

Silence is the sound of our souls waiting. Hope is the air that fills our lungs and energizes our bodies. God, you are the rock and foundation on which we stand and build our shelters. We place our trust in you and pour out our hearts to you. Amen.

Shared Prayer:  The Lord’s Prayer (sins)

Leader: People of God, what is your prayer for our youth?

Congregation: Our prayer is that they grow up to be like Jesus--strong and brave, full of grace and truth! And, we pray that we will help them. Amen.

WE OFFER GRATITUDE TO GOD

Invitation to Give and Share

Gestures of gratitude are a demonstration that a blessing or benefit has been received. We heard a call, dropped our nets and came to this place to find new life. The gifts we give today are but tokens of the blessings of the new life we live in Christ. Bring your gifts with joy for they remind us of just how blessed we are to know this love that flows so generously from the spirit of God.

Offertory “Lord, Listen to Your Children” by Ken Medema (Chancel Choir)

*Doxology “We Give You But Your Own” #785

We give you but your own, what e’er the gift may be; All that we have is yours alone, we give it gratefully.

*Prayer of Dedication

God, we rejoice, for your realm is coming into being. We live to be free of our attachments, for the present form of this world is passing away. We give thanks for your love is abundant and the source of our freedom. Amen.
