DURING COLD AND FLU SEASON — Out of consideration to others, you are invited to put your hand over your heart during the Passing of the Peace and Sung Blessing if you are unwell. In this way, you can still warmly greet those around you and prevent the spreading of cold and influenza viruses to others.
COMPASS is a group from Webster Church that meets on Monday evenings year-round to explore topics of faith. The group is open to both guests and new participants. Each week a different person hosts the gathering in their home. This Monday, Jan. 22 the group will discuss Martin Luther King Jr.’s letter from the Birmingham City jail.
ANNUAL REPORT—All officers and committees should have turned in their annual report. The reports will be compiled into the church’s annual report for presentation at the annual meeting on January 28. The report will be mailed electronically; a limited number of printed copies will be available at the meeting.
SPOTLIGHT ON FAITH meets on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. in the Conference Room. The study passage for Jan. 24 is Mark 1:21-28; this is the Gospel reading for Sunday, Jan. 28.
PASTOR’S OFFICE HOURS are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during the day. Please call ahead however, Pastor Marcia may be out on a visitation and/or at a meeting. Her contact information is listed on the back page. Note: Pastor Marcia will be away this week, 1/22 through 1/26; contact the Deacon of the Month for any urgent pastoral care issues during her absence.
CHURCH OFFICE HOURS are normally Tuesdays 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Wednesdays 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You may leave a message for the Office Manager anytime; contact information is on the back page of the Announcements.
WEBSTER FARMERS MARKET is held Sundays from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. (except the third Sunday of each month) at the Crossroads Community Center (corner of Webster Church and Farrell Roads). There will be a variety of veggies, herbs, meats, baked goods, artisan crafts, body care products, and a cozy, welcoming space to relax and visit with neighbors and support local farmers on a Sunday afternoon. This month’s market days are: Jan. 7, 14, and 28.
SERVICE SIGNUP - Please sign up on the worship assistant sign-up sheet. We need: Worship Leader (lead the order of service); Greeter/Usher (greet worshippers at door, hand out bulletins and help with offering); Flowers (provide flowers for sanctuary); Lector (read scripture); Time for Youth (prepare & share message) and Fellowship Host (provide refreshments after service or coordinate & clean up on Potluck Sundays. Note: there are shelf-stable refreshments available, so it isn’t necessary to purchase refreshments unless you care to.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH – The nursery (downstairs) is staffed for children up to age five years. Sunday school classes are available for children 6-13 years and youth 14-18 years also downstairs. Webster uses the “Shine” curriculum.
SITTING ROOM is available for parents who may need to leave and quiet children during the worship service. Go through the double doors located to the right at the front of the church. The service may be followed on a monitor in the sitting room.
LISTENING DEVICES are available for those who need and/or would like hearing assistance during the service. The devices are easy-to-use with adjustable head phones and volume control. Please ask today’s usher to help you.
RESTROOMS are located on the main floor and downstairs. There is a unisex restroom on the main floor between the sanctuary and the church office, a family/handicapped accessible restroom (with baby changing station) downstairs in the Fireside Room, and Men’s and Women’s restrooms downstairs near the kitchen.
ELEVATOR to the Fellowship Hall downstairs is located near the church office. Go through the double doors located to the right at the front of the church.
