Communion Sunday - Aug. 3

Communion is offered the first Sunday of every month.

At the table of Holy Communion, in bread blessed and broken, we recognize Christ and rejoice.

All those who share this belief are invited to receive the sacrament.

Time for Reflection - Tuesday, July 29

A new worship opportunity--  the church sanctuary will be available from 7:00-8:00 p.m. for personal meditation and silent reflection. Time for Reflection was inspired by small group discussion on meaningful experiences during the annual prayer vigil; volunteers will make the church sanctuary available on last Tuesdays.

The first Time for Reflection will be on Tuesday, July 29th from 7:00-8:00 p.m. The blessing to be used is At the End of the Day: A Mirror of Questions.

Contact the Church Office (426-5115, ext. 0 or with questions.

Outdoor Worship Service and Eco Event - Sunday, July 20

We will worship outside (weather permitting: a Go/No Go decision will be made at 8:30 a.m.) this Sunday; the service starts at 9:30 a.m. Following the worship service there will be the second of three Eco Events (this one will be held in the church Fellowship Hall).

The Eco Event topic is What is Electronic Waste? And what does it have to do with Ghana?

Today, electronics are becoming more and more a part of everyone's everyday life. Many of our electronic gadgets still work, but we throw them out to make way for the newest version. Research shows that half of all donated or second-hand electronics coming in to Africa are unsellable, needing repair or disposal. Informal recycling of electronic waste takes place in Accra, Ghana at Agbogbloshie. A church member will show pictures from a recent trip to Ghana and discuss.

Pick Up Choir

There will be a pick up choir rehearsal at 9:00 a.m. this Sunday (before the service starts). We will be doing a hymn from the African American Heritage Hymnal as an offertory ("Deeper, Deeper" #336).  Please come and we'll put it together before the 9:30 service.  Come sing and bring a friend!

Concert - Friday, July 11 at 7:00 p.m.
